Plan on spending the whole weekend in Fairfield, Il. We kickoff the weekend on Friday, April 5, with a concert at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Beau Tatum and The Dirt Devils will open for country music’s Little Texas.
Explore the area on Saturday & Sunday. Retail Merchants & Restaurants will be open and there will be family-friendly activities, food trucks & inflatables downtown on Saturday. There will also be a craft & vendor fair at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.
Sunday’s activities will move to Leo French Park for a time of fellowship and fun. The park is a wonderful place to relax and walk the path around the small lake. Volunteers For a Progressive Fairfield plan to show a movie to end the evening.
Monday, Eclipse Day, the City of Fairfield will be focused on crowd control, traffic and safety. However there are some Viewing Parties in the area. For one, there will be a Viewing Party at The Victorian on Main. The event will include a performance by the Independent Silver Band, a catered lunch from The Green Pig, eclipse-themed desert table provided by the Victorian on Main, lawn games, and more.
